The reason on why we wrote 'Crap With Style' is because of one day when Ms Praba said it to us , and thus , it became our qoute.
I HAVE EXCITING (OMG) EXCITING (OMG) EXCITING (OMG) NEWS! *DRUMROLL PLEASE PEOPLE* WE WON! (insert screaming , more screaming and more screaming)
Results : Lower Secondary Stella , Giogi , Chelsea and Samantha - Bronze Sabrina , Vernice and Jaime - Gold Upper Secondary Heidi & (OMG I DONT KNOW YOUR NAMES!! I fail as a junior totally!) - GOLD.
Good news girls , we have the shield back with us. Shall I give you people a detailed review of the whole day? Yes I shall!
GOODMORNINGSLAMMERS! LD arrived at 7.30 am and we were found eating breakfast at MACDONALDS. Have some videos to post at a later date. We went back to school and started practiced. Later we met Ms Praba and Ms Sri at the forum. Then we boarded onto the bus , where we all sang songs and chit chat and also practice. GOODAFTERNOONSLAMMERS! We arrived at the DBS Art Centre to find R.I already there. We took up spaces of the auditorium and started practiced too! We then had mike tests for each group and practiced some more! After more teams arrived , we had LUNCH. Everyone had a BENTO SET , and the S1 LD members took up a chair which we transformed into a table , and ate like Japanese Folk. ( I knocked my head onto some guy when taking a bento set - sorry!) The seniors took the meeting room , along with the teachers! D: We had our chit chats between ourselves and then the S1 LD were commenting on each other's first round , constructive comments were like zipzapping everywhere! After more and more and more practice , we finally sat held hands in a prayer , which was led by Heidi and Vernice. Then the waterworks started and everyone was stressed out. Which was soon cooled down by huggings and words of encouragements. Later , people came to support us , like Shereeen , Gloria and their friends. Not forgetting Evangeline and Priya! (Thank you girls!) Then we performed.
GOODEVENINGSLAMMERS! After all the performances , we were eagerly awaiting the results. Some of us have been eliminated , but yet we were still anxious. Wonderful Cheryl Ann wrote down all the scores for us to check out , so thank you so much! Then after some performances by the Professional Poets , it came. First off 'PLT' got in Silver (which was actually bronze later) and then we screamed!!! Then , MGS won , followed by GOLD FROM 'Red Umbrella'!! (More screaming). Then for HEIDI'S GROUP WON (I forgot the name , sorry!) and we gave them a STANDING OVATION. Why you may ask well their score for the last piece kinda went like : 10/10 , 10/10 , More than 9 out of 10. Awesome , and prepared in like A Day? Then we screamed , etc etc , ate cupcakes baked from Gloria.
Gloria , or any other senior who knows her , please pass your recipe to Victoria and I cause we love it to bits! Its really nice and melt in your mouthish! We were like raving it was so good and all! BTW , when someone ate your cupcakes (while we were raving how good it was) she said this line : It must have been baked with lots of love.
Thanks to Yi Hui and Shu Qing who came as well and the sms that was supposedly sent by me (told by stella cause I forgot to tell her!) is actually from Yi Hui who also won something along with Shu Wing for the Lit Up Drama Comp. (More details refer to sngsld.blogspot.com )
We couldn't eat the free dinner cause the Uncle was already here and threatening to drive off without Vernice , Andrea and Miss Moo! (: Then the day ended , cause the school was locked.
So thus we ended the day , on a high note. (:
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported us ( Becky and Crystal for the lovely sms and tags at the tagboard! Gloria for the cupcakes! Evangeline , Priya , Shereen , Beverly/Debbi for the support as well! Nor forgetting this other S4 senior with Shereen and these 2 guys with the cameras! ) We would also like to congratulate the winner for a job well done and for making the school proud. And for those who did not feel like they have done their best , just because they did not make our school proud by winning something , here's something I came up with.
Proud , is when your fellow CCA friends perform well (And they did with 10/10 and 9.9/10 scorings) you dont mind STANDING UP AND SCREAMIGN AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS , even though everyone is staring at you. Proud , is when you scream at the top of your lungs , even though you have a sore throat the size of a mammoth. Proud , is when you cry tears of joy , even though you did not win , but they did. That , is proud.
